About Wellspring Counselling
Established as a registered charity in 1994 by the local Church Leaders and GP's, Wellspring offers confidential help and support to these people in our local community. We offer our services to all who seek help irrespective of gender, ethnic origin, religious beliefs or ability to pay.
We offer a unique service in the North Somerset area making counselling accessible to all in a timely and cost effective manner. Clients can access the service themselves or after consultation with their GP. We have excellent links with the local GPs and use their premises for evening sessions. We are well respected in the area and receive some funding from the council in Nailsea and North Somerset District Council. We have a team of sixteen Wellspring counsellors who come alongside those facing loss and bereavement, relationship difficulties, stress and anxiety, depression and issues resulting from physical, sexual or emotional abuse as well as other distressing situations. Our clients come from all walks of life from aged 16 upwards. Our counsellors are professionally trained, partake in regular clinical supervision and agree to continued personal and professional development. What is Counselling?
Counselling is talking to someone who can help you become clearer about your thoughts and feelings and help you find your own solutions. You might want to make changes in your life and you could use your counselling sessions to help you. Counselling is confidential and non-judgemental. Wellspring Counselling has a team of skilled counsellors who are trained to listen attentively and sensitively to your concerns, to give you the space to talk freely and to stay with you no matter how distressing or disturbing your experience or feelings might be. Counsellors do not give advice, offer solutions or tell clients what to do, but will seek to understand and support you enabling you to find your own way forward.

Wellspring offers professional and affordable counselling to anyone seeking help regardless of their ability to contribute towards the cost. This way we reach people who otherwise could not afford to access counselling services. To help meet the increasing costs of providing these sessions we are launching 'Friends of Wellspring'.
For as little as £2 per month you could become a ‘Friend of Wellspring’. By joining this growing community of Wellspring supporters you will be helping us create regular accessible funds to help secure these services both now and in the future. We invite you to offer us a regular donation, ideally by standing order which, if you are a taxpayer, can be gift aided - (please use the link at the bottom of the page for a blank standing order/gift aid form - please complete and return by post to Wellspring).
By doing this you can help Wellspring in the following ways:
In one year - £2 per month helps provide two sessions of youth counselling £5 per month helps us provide a counselling room for 20 sessions
£10 per month will help provide counselling for 1 client (based on an average of six sessions) For more information on how to help Wellspring please call us on 01275 810879
